HIV Testing
Whitman-Walker Health’s Mobile Health Van provides free, confidential rapid HIV testing at community events across DC. Through multiple testing events each month, we meet people where they are and connect them with prevention information, referrals, and follow-up care. We use the INSTI® HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Antibody Test, which provides results in as little as one minute.
HIV/STI Prevention & Care
At Whitman-Walker Health, we believe everyone deserves the tools and support to take charge of their sexual well-being. Across DC, our Prevention & Care services offer free and confidential HIV and STI testing, prevention information, and connections to care. Mobile Health Initiative (MHI)
The Mobile Health Initiative uses our van to provide low-barrier access to care in community settings. At select MHI events, culturally responsive staff and a medical provider offer free and confidential HIV/STI screenings, help eligible participants begin PrEP and PEP on site when clinically appropriate, and provide blood pressure readings. Services vary by event and provider availability.
