Whitman-Walker at LIZ

We’re very excited to tell you about what is happening at the former home of the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center at 14th and R Streets, NW!

Like most DC non-profits, we are always looking for creative ways to increase support of our mission. This project will help us to gain greater financial stability. It will also create more space for the programs and services that are vital to our communities. In September of 2017, we started redevelopment at the site with our partners Fivesquares Development.

Fivesquares Development is a D.C.-based real estate company co-founded by former District of Columbia Director of the Office of Planning Andy Altman and former Chief Investment Officer of Federal Realty Ron Kaplan.

Whitman-Walker is the majority owner of this project. This allows us to ensure that the endeavor meets our long-term mission and allows us to be here for patients and the communities we serve for years to come.
