At the heart of Whitman-Walker, our mission is to ensure that every person knows that they are respected, supported, and safe in our care. For more than 50 years, Whitman-Walker has been a compassionate resource for our most underserved neighbors.
At a time when many in our community are facing challenges and attacks, our purpose remains clear: to be a Healthcare, Health Research and Policy home that sees the person first and treats every patient, client, and neighbor with dignity, respect, and love.
Many of our neighbors are now facing uncertain futures amid attacks on their dignity, basic human rights and access to affirming care. The time has arrived for all of us to be visible and to stand up for our friends, neighbors, and each other.
At Whitman-Walker, we see community. We hear community. We need community. Whitman-Walker is community.
During times of great challenges, Whitman-Walker has always turned to our community for hope, inspiration, and support – and we need you now more than ever!
Signing up for the monthly Whitman-Walker Foundation newsletter is a great way to learn about our latest updates, volunteer opportunities, important announcements, hear patient stories and other important opportunities related to our work.
At a time when many in our community are facing challenges and attacks, and when essential public health is threatened, it is time to be visible and stand up for our friends and neighbors.
We have already lost essential funding for research and HIV prevention. When the funding from the government was not there, the community always was, and we need you now more than ever before.
We are honored to share a list of our Community Partners.
