We have three premier fundraising events throughout the year:

Going the Extra Mile
Our annual benefit for Whitman-Walker’s Legal Services program. Every year, Whitman-Walker Health Legal Services provides nearly 3,000 low-income clients with life-saving legal care, to keep them housed, heathy, and safe; and we do that with the generous support of our community.

Whitman-Walker Gala
Our Gala is an evening to celebrate and honor the legacy and mission of Whitman-Walker. The evening is a wonderful and festive tribute to community. Cocktails, excellent food, storytelling, music and dancing are included. Funds from the Gala support Whitman-Walker’s mission and our monumental expansion to serve even more people with accessible, affordable, high-quality compassionate health and wellness care.

Walk & 5k to End HIV
The Walk & 5K to End HIV is more than just a fundraiser at Whitman-Walker. The Walk symbolizes our continued efforts to find a cure for HIV and to stop the stigma surrounding HIV. This fight will take the entire community’s support and commitment.

As the largest fundraiser benefiting the programs and services of Whitman-Walker, your support helps to ensure that we can continue to provide compassionate health and wellness services to more than 20,000 patients per year, lead cutting edge research and protect underserved people nationwide through our fierce policy and advocacy endeavors.

Funds go directly towards lifesaving services for those most in need in our area, many of whom live with or are at risk of HIV, regardless of their ability to pay. And help to fund critical prevention outreach, treatment programs and research studies that can help to finally put an end to HIV in DC once and for all.
