Walk & 5K to End HIV 2025

September 20

Join us on September 20th for our 39th Annual Walk & 5K to End HIV at Anacostia Park!

Held for the past 39 years, the Walk to End HIV is Whitman-Walker’s signature fundraiser that calls on thousands to strap on their shoes and walk or run to support WW’s mission of providing dependable, high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health care to those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Your participation is especially critical as we have lost 40 percent of our federal funding for research, including HIV-related projects, and $400,000 for a prevention program that enabled us to administer 15,000 HIV and STI tests last year.

These are tough times, but we know we can turn to community members like you for hope, inspiration, and support.

Recruiting your friends and family to raise funds will help us close funding gaps and make sure our community does not lose ground in the fight to find a cure for and reduce the stigma surrounding HIV.

This year’s Walk is also special because the money raised is part of our $1.5 million Stand with Whitman-Walker campaign – and we have marked September 20 as the date by which we aim to hit this goal.

We invite you to be one of the 1,000+ walkers and runners gathered in Anacostia Park to celebrate this amazing achievement.

Register today and walk or run to engage with the community. Join us to fight stigma, save lives, and end HIV!
