NBC4 Washington came out on a cold morning to do live shot coverage of Whitman-Walker’s Walk and 5K to End HIV at Anacostia Park in Washington DC on December 7th for their Saturday Morning News broadcast. Reporter Derrick Ward interviewed Dwight Venson, our Community Engagement Manager, who spoke about our continued efforts to find a cure for HIV and to eliminate stigma surrounding HIV.

Whitman-Walker’s work is rooted in compassion, equality, and the belief that health equity is a right for everyone. Each day, we come together as a team to ensure our patients, clients, and partners feel safe, welcome, and supported – no matter who they are, who they love or where they come from.
