Dear WWH Patients:​

We wanted to send along a little update about the progress on our new Max Robinson Center.

The building is coming along very nicely. We can’t wait to share it with you. We’re still working on confirming an opening date based on the construction timeline and our certificate of occupancy from the DC Government, but we are working towards opening to patient care in mid to late August. In the meantime, the current Max Robinson location in Anacostia will remain open for all your care and wellness needs.

We can also share that we have an official street address for the new Max Robinson site. The address is: 1201 Sycamore Drive, SE. This is a two-block walk from the Congress Heights metro.

This year we are celebrating 50 years of being rooted in the community. If you are interested in getting a sneak peek of the building before we officially open, please join us for the East of the River Fall Festival on August 25^th on the St. Elizabeths East Campus at Sycamore and Oak (1110 Oak Dr. SE.) from 2pm to 6pm.

The East of the River Fall Festival will be a community party with live performances, free food, books and backpacks for neighborhood students, free HIV testing, health information and more! We’d love to see you there! And the new Max Robinson Center is about three blocks away from the pavilion so you can see the exterior of the new building where we will be providing care and services for years to come!

We will continue to send updates as we get more information to share about the opening of the building. Queríamos contarles cómo sigue progresando nuestro nuevo Centro Max Robinson.

El edificio está avanzando muy bien. No vemos la hora de compartirlo con ustedes. Aún estamos trabajando para confirmar una fecha de apertura según el cronograma de construcción y nuestro certificado de ocupación del gobierno de DC, pero estamos trabajando para abrir para la atención de clientes de mediados a finales de agosto. Mientras tanto, el centro actual Max Robinson en Anacostia seguirá abierto para todas sus necesidades de atención y bienestar.

Además, podemos contarles que tenemos una dirección oficial para el nuevo centro Max Robinson. La dirección es: 1201 Sycamore Drive, SE. Está a dos calles caminando desde la estación de metro de Congress Heights.

Este año celebramos 50 años de arraigo en la comunidad. Si les interesa tener un anticipo del edificio antes de que abramos oficialmente, vengan al festival de otoño East of the River el 25 de agosto en St. Elizabeths East Campus en el (1110 Oak Dr. SE.) de 2 p. m. a 6 p. m.

¡El festival de otoño East of the River será una fiesta de la comunidad con presentaciones en vivo, comida, libros y mochilas gratis para estudiantes del vecindario, pruebas de VIH gratuitas, información de salud y mucho más! ¡Nos encantaría verlos allí! Y el nuevo Centro Max Robinson está a unas tres calles de distancia del pabellón, ¡por lo que pueden ver el exterior del nuevo edificio donde brindaremos atención y servicios durante muchos años!
