Ana Corina “Cori” Alonso-Yoder is the Supervising Attorney for the Whitman-Walker Health Legal Services Program. She supervises the Program’s staff attorneys across practices areas and represents LGBT and HIV-positive immigrants in immigration legal matters. Alonso-Yoder also dedicates time to mentoring and partnering with volunteer attorneys committed to serving these communities through pro bono representation. In her work to promote immigrants’ rights, she has collaborated on transnational labor policy and worker outreach in central Mexico, provided legal orientation and advice and counsel to inmates in U.S. immigration detention facilities, and served as an assistant to the chair of the United Nations Committee Against Torture in Geneva.

Alonso-Yoder received her bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) from Georgetown University and her law degree (with honors) from the American University Washington College of Law, where she was a Public Interest/Public Service Scholar. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland and in Washington, DC.
