My name is Brittney R. Sims and I am privileged to be apart of the medical team at Whitman-Walker Health where I provide gender affirming care, general primary care, and HIV primary care. Prior to receiving my master of physician assistant studies from Howard University in 2017, I received a master of public health in maternal and child health, from George Washington University in 2012.
It is my mission to alleviate health care disparities and promote positive health outcomes among marginalized communities which include women, the uninsured, sexual minority communities of color and the LGBTQ general population. Therefore, I chose Whitman-Walker because the organization’s mission is directly aligned with my own. Fun facts about me: I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, I play Alto Saxophone and I read best seller non-fiction and self-help books incessantly.
