Senior Director for Health and Legal Integration & Payment Innovation
My name is Erin Loubier and I work at Whitman-Walker because I believe that everyone should have affirming and high quality health care. I feel lucky to have spent my career working on the front lines of health care and civil rights for the LGBT community and people with HIV. I received my law degree from American University Washington College of Law in 1998 and immediately started at Whitman-Walker as a staff attorney focusing on public benefits. Since then, I have had a number of roles. Since 2015, I oversee Legal Services, Public Benefits and Insurance Navigation, health care payments, and promoting patient health and wellness by addressing the social and legal determinants of health. I speak, write, and advocate on issues of health insurance, access to health care, and service delivery focused on high quality care and improving health outcomes. I was born and raised in Indiana. I moved to DC in 1992 to work on access to health care and social justice issues.
