My name is Dr. Sarah Henn and I’ve been a physician at Whitman-Walker since 2007. I maintain active board certifications in both infectious diseases and internal medicine. I came to Whitman-Walker because I believe in the mission of providing quality, culturally competent care to all, especially to those who face barriers to care. In my role, I oversee all medical services at Whitman-Walker and am involved in research on HIV and Hepatitis C treatments. This work has led to publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American Medical Association, Lancet HIV, and Clinical Infectious Diseases, among others. I received a bachelor’s degree in political studies from Hamilton College and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. I was an intern at Emory University, a resident in internal medicine at the University of Virginia, and completed an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Maryland. I also hold a master of public health from Johns Hopkins University.
