HIV Prevention Studies

Whitman-Walker Health is conducting studies on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), the latest FDA-approved tool available to prevent HIV infection. Several studies have shown that PrEP can reduce the risk of becoming HIV-infected when used as part of a package of prevention services. These studies will provide important information about how PrEP can be used as an HIV prevention method in our community.

Whitman-Walker is also studying a new injectable form of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis.

Neither of these studies are currently recruiting, but keep checking the Currently Enrolling page if you are HIV negative and interested in participating in HIV prevention studies.
