PEP must be taken within 72 hours of an exposure to be effective. PrEP Clinic is available through video and audio telehealth appointments to help folks start and stay on PrEP, the daily pill that can prevent HIV that is transmitted through sex. Whitman-Walker offers daytime treatment for syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea if you tested positive for these STIs through our GMHW Sexual Health Clinic,
our daytime walk-in STI testing services, or during an appointment as a Whitman-Walker medical patient.
Whitman-Walker may also treat you if you tested positive at the Department of Health. Please note, you must have proof of a positive STI test result from
Whitman-Walker or the Department of Health and be at least 18 years old to receive STI treatment at Whitman-Walker. Treatment requires an appointment.

Treatment is available at Whitman-Walker at 1525 from 11 am to 5 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 1 to 5 pm on Fridays. Daytime treatment is
also available at our Max Robinson Center in Anacostia on Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm for clients who use our walk-in STI testing services. Whitman-Walker
medical clients can come in for daytime treatment at our Max Robinson Center at any time during our hours of operation. Call 202.745.6189 for more
