PEP must be taken within 72 hours of an exposure to be effective. PrEP Clinic is available through video and audio telehealth appointments to help folks start and stay on PrEP, the daily pill that can prevent HIV that is transmitted through sex. Whitman-Walker’s STI Clinic (GMHW Sexual Health Clinic) offers free routine, STI testing including a blood draw for syphilis and site-specific testing
for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Site-specific means we test for the areas you have had sexual contact with based on your sexual orientation and preferred
sexual practices. This can include a urine sample, oral swab, and rectal swab depending on the areas you have had sexual contact. Please note there
