Please note that at this time, we are only accepting new dental patients who are HIV-positive.
Oral health affects overall health so regular teeth cleanings are recommended two times a year. A teeth cleaning, or dental prophylaxis, is a procedure to thoroughly clean your teeth and prevent gum disease and gingivitis. Teeth cleanings are usually performed by dental hygienists and include the removal of plaque and bacteria. Regular teeth cleanings can help you avoid gum disease, gingivitis, and additional visits to the dentist. To schedule a dental appointment at Whitman-Walker at 1525 or Max Robinson Center, email appointments@whitman-walker.org or call 202.745.6170.
