Teams: The Driving Force Behind AIDS Walk Washington
Teams are a key component in the success of AIDS Walk Washington. In 2010, more than 500 teams joined forces to walk, run and raise money in the fight against HIV/AIDS and team fundraising accounted for more than 80% of the total money raised! With your help, we will reach our goal of 750 teams participating and raising $1 million in 2012. A team can be comprised of as few as two team members or as many as you can envision.
Establishing an AIDS Walk team for your company, organization, school, congregation or group of friends and family will:
- Build morale and camraderie.
- Honor and support those affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Educate the community and bring attention to the crisis in the DC area.
- Provide exposure for your team to thousands of other participants.
- Surely be fun for all!
