Whitman-Walker Health Selected for AIDS Clinical Trial Group
Whitman-Walker Health has been selected as part of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the first time that a community health center has been designated as an ACTG site in Washington, DC. This designation gives WWH the opportunity to participate in HIV studies conducted through NIH, including possible work on HIV vaccines and cures. It also recognizes WWH as a site that is doing outstanding HIV research.
