Born and raised in DC, Stephanie attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she studied International Studies and African Studies. After graduation and eager to explore, she moved to Turkey for eight months. She worked in Istanbul as an English teacher and coordinated a volunteer teaching program in southeastern Turkey during the summer of 2012.
