Whitman-Walker offers a selection of ongoing support groups. All groups are free, but donations are accepted.

Gay Men Over 50

Thursdays

Support group for gay men over 50 (or soon to be 50) seeking to sustain their quality of life and sense of purpose as they enter this new phase.

Coming Out – Men

Offered two-three times a year

10-week discussion group for men exploring their interest in other men.

Coming Out – Women

Offered two-three times a year

10-week discussion group for women exploring their interest in other women.

Coming Out of Marriage – Women

Support group for women who are, or have been, married to men and may be contemplating or are in relationships with women.

HIV Long-Term Survivors

Every other Wednesday evening

This group is for anyone living with HIV. It is open to all genders and orientations.

HIV – Newly Diagnosed

Group 1, Mondays, 7:00 pm; Group 2, Wednesdays, 7:00 pm 

This group is for anyone who has been recently diagnosed with HIV. It is open to all genders and orientations.

HIV – Your New Normal

Offered two-three times a year

This group is a powerful 6-week group seminar designed to coach, educate, empower, and inspire those who are living with HIV. Learn to navigate tough issues from dating and disclosure to stigma. Develop strategies for living your new normal. Achieve the necessary tools to live a more confident and healthy life.

Starting Over – Women

Offered two-three times a year

Ten-week discussion group for women whose long-term relationship with a woman has ended. Group focus is on healing and moving forward in life.
